Accelerators for sulphur vulcanisation of PUR
THANECURE ZM is a crosslinking activator for sulphur vulcanisation of polyurethane elastomers based on a MBTS-ZnCl2-complex. With increasing concentration of the accelerator-system the crosslinking rate and the degree of crosslinking increase. At the same time the compression set is improved.
Because zinc oxide is not compatible with most polyester polyurethane elastomers, this accelerator system contains already active zinc. The use of an inert carrier facilitates mixing of the activator system into the polymer. It is used as curing accelerator in polyester and polyetherpolyurethane as well as in other sulphur crosslinkable polyurethane elastomers.
